We are seeking a Junior SharePoint Administrator in Arlington, VA this is a contract opportunity until the end of May (with possibility to go longer) with a pay rate of $30-40/hr. Candidates must have at least an Active Secret Clearance and able to obtain a TS/SCI.
Position Summary:
• Be able to work with a team of SharePoint administrators.
• Be able to take direction from the SharePoint team lead.
• Ability to work off hours, including nights and weekends; occasionally be available after hours on-site, as needed.
• Ability to be on call 24/7 based on primary and secondary support assignments
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Be able to work with software developers in hosting .Net application on a SharePoint farm.
• This includes participating in software requirements review, preliminary andcritical design, integration readiness review, and software acceptancereview.
• Occasionally presents oral briefings to project team.
Required Qualifications:
• Requires 2+ years of hands on SharePoint administration.
• Requires at least 2+ years of SharePoint 2007 Server administration.
Must have familiarity with the following technologies typically included in SharePoint farms:
• Web front ends
• IIS 6.0 and IIS 7.0
• SharePoint Designer
• HTML
• Windows Server 2003
• SQL database cluster
• Must be able to obtain one of the following required certifications within the 60 of hire: ComTIA A+, Network+, SSCP,GSEC, Security+, or SCNP
• Interim DOD Secret clearance is mandatory
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Share SharePoint administrative duties with a team of SharePoint admins.
• Deploy SharePoint custom features and packages and/or solutions
• Ensure the integrity and security of SharePoint data in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
• Developing, maintaining, and enforcing SharePoint Governance policies
• Must be able to coordinate with SharePoint lead to resolve infrastructure issues that could affect SharePoint
• Must be able to understand
• As a SharePoint administrator, consults with customer concerning maintenance of SharePoint system.
• Identify creative solutions to improve system and product offerings.
• Collaborate with technical writers to create customer-relevant documentation.
• Coordinates with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones.
• Supports program management office in technical role.
Educations and Experience:
• Requires at least a bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science, mathematics or related field) or equivalent experience.
