We are seeking a ColdFusion Software Engineer. This is a part time long term opportunity with a pay rate up to 40-45/hr. Candidates must be at least a permanent resident.
Daily Responsibilities- Our client is seeking a part time ColdFusion Software Engineer to work approximately 20 - 30 hours per week on performing full software development life cycle - requirements analysis, testing, development, and version control. On this program, you will be working with a small team of three individuals: project manager, project assistant and software engineer. The project is responsible for the web site development and maintenance, outreach activities as well as holding teleconferences. The Website we support uses the ColdFusion Fusebox architecture and was recently upgraded to ColdFusion 8 and SQL Server 2008 R2. You will work in office in Rockville, MD (the ability to work from home for a portion of your schedule will be allowed). You can set a flexible work schedule within normal business hours, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the full software development life cycle to maintain and enhance the client's website– including discussions with the client to determine requirements, coding in ColdFusion, testing, and installation into production.
- Update user’s manuals.
- Attend monthly teleconferences with the client and promptly respond to client inquiries
- Participate in daily calls and/or face to face meetings.
- Interface with Managed Hosting group.
- Presentation of occasional status reports to the client, which will require strong written communication skills and ability to articulate technical information in laymen's terms
Skills/ Experience:
• 3-5
• Experience with Cold Fusion, and MS SQL Server
• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Desired:
• Bachelors
• Experience with Cold Fusion Fusebox architecture, HTML/CSS, and some source control software. SubVersion (SVN) is currently used with the Trac interface.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skils.
