Job Description
.NET Applications Developer II
HLP has partnered with a leader in the tax consulting business and has a need for an experienced Applications Developer who will be responsible for the development, testing, and implementation of software applications. Our client has a great work environment, is located in the Dallas area, offers an outstanding management team, a comfortable work environment, and has a history of promoting from within.
The ideal candidate will match the requirements listed below.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Develops and maintains software applications according to specifications.
*Maintains source code control system and application software versioning.
*Maintains strong focus on customer service to all internal clients.
*Participates in cross-training activities as required.
*Works with external vendors when necessary.
*Assists with mentoring and training of junior members.
*Adheres to Firm processes for change and configuration management, contributing to ongoing maintenance of SAS70 and other compliance initiatives.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
*Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent experience required and two to six years related applications development experience is preferred.
Computer Skills:
*To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in .NET framework / environment, C# programming, familiarity with IIS and website setup, proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and solid Structured Query Language (SQL) skills. SQL Server database experience is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
*Valid driver’s license required. Microsoft® Development C# and .NET certifications are desirable
