Position: Hospital Billing Specialist-Medicare

1. Strong experience in processes and billing requirements in an acute care setting specific to Medicare. The candidate should be familiar with all Medicare parameters from the start of billing the claim through to payment and any collection activity.
2. Strong experience in collections- The candidate should be proficient in collections i.e appeals, processes and working with payors in this regard.
3. Know the business office operation inside and out.
4. Personable- The candidate should get along well with other, this is a small working group so they seek someone who can work extremely well with all.
5. Self motivated/multi-tasker- As mentioned they do not have time to train a candidate, ideally seeking someone who “knows the job” and can run with it. Also someone who has multitasking abilities and does not get flustered under pressure.
