Job description:  Our client has an opportunity available for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Infrastructure Specialist within its Professional Services organization. This position will be responsible for the technical validation of Service opportunities. Responsibilities will also include development/review/vetting of High-Level Designs, Pre-Deployment Guides, Low-Level Designs, Acceptance Testing Procedures, and As-Built Documentation as time permits. Individuals in this position will have direct contact with customers and will hold responsibility of building strong customer relationships.

The right person will be working with Fortune 100 and 500 companies on highly  and high-impact projects and will collaborate with all areas of Professional Services. The ability to get things done in a flexible and evolving environment is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

The Specialist is responsible for understanding customer needs, defined solutions, creating proposals and validation of recommended solutions.  Requires skills and understanding of the industry best practices and methodologies to tie dissimilar components together into an aggregate solution. This role will potentially interface with Sales and the customer in the design process and translating business needs into technical systems solutions. The technical correctness and completeness of these solution designs is mandatory. An understanding of SAN, Topology, Virtualization, Compute, Backup and Migration Methods, Data Recovery, Networking and general IT. This role also requires specific knowledge of servers and storage as well as vendor products and technologies for Dell, EMC, IBM, HP, VMware, Cisco, and Microsoft.

The Specialist will provide significant support in areas such as product management, integration support, design rules, configuration tool maintenance and technical briefings. The Specialist is involved in regular vendor training as new products and technologies are introduced.

Responsibilities:

Organizing and coordinating the development and maintenance of Level of Effort Templates.

Organizing and coordinating the development and maintenance of Service Configuration Templates.

Review and development of High and Low Level Designs.

Review of Technical Project Deliverables as time permits.

Timely responses and building strong customer relationships while working closely with the sales team.

Implement quoting processes to facilitate and support the integration of new products and Services.

Act as key contact and liaison for internal (Sales, Services, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Logistics, etc.) and corresponding with external customers to ensure on time, high quality quote processing of customer related work and customer satisfaction.

Work closely with field sales and services, marketing, commercial operations, finance/pricing analysts to resolve technical and process-related issues.

Proactively resolve and escalate issues across functions regarding quote or design contract requirements.

Travel Requirements: Low travel and can be located most anywhere.
