About Enval Limited
Enval, originally formed as a spin-out from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge, is a privately funded company. In parallel to the technical development and commercialisation of its proprietary processes, Enval provides environmental life cycle analysis and technology consultancy, with particular emphasis on the thermal recycling of complex materials. With offices in Luton and Cambridge, Enval is a small but rapidly growing company, which now requires a Project/Operations Manager who can provide leadership and relevant experience during the design, construction and commissioning of Enval’s commercial plants. The Role The position will be based at Enval’s Luton facility, but it is anticipated that the role will involve a fair amount of travel, initially within the UK, to the sites where the Enval plants will be installed. Reporting to Enval’s Chief Technology Officer the successful candidate will be responsible for executing senior-level engineering and project management tasks during the design, construction and commissioning of industrial-scale waste processing plants. Within these projects there will be some opportunity and responsibility for managing and collaborating with a team of technical staff. The job holder will be expected to manage multiple projects and, as required, provide engineering support to marketing and proposal efforts. The successful candidate will be a hands-on senior Project Engineer or Project Manager with strong technical experience in the study, planning, design, construction and commissioning of industrial chemical plants. Expertise in a broad range of engineering subjects, including physical and chemical treatment processes/technologies, hydraulics, piping, pumping and other mechanical systems is required. Experience of waste treatment systems, in particular thermal chemical processes (pyrolysis and/or gasification) would be an advantage. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity. Candidates must be able to work within the U.K. without requiring a work permit (sponsorship to obtain a work permit is not provided at this time). Required Skills and Experience
