Job Description

About the Client:

Providing tower design, fabrication, and installation services to the broadcast and wireless industry since November 1989. It designs, builds and maintains wireless communication transmitting and receiving facilities for providers of broadcast and wireless communication services. It develops sites, fabricates and installs steel supporting structures and towers, shelters, antennas, transmission lines and other electronic components for use with microwave, cellular telephone, pager, personal communication systems, broadcasting and specialized mobile radio technologies. The Company’s installations include guyed towers, self support towers, monopoles, rooftop structures and microwave systems

 

Overview:

 

The Tower Technician will work as part of a telecom team in the installation and troubleshooting of antenna systems. The tasks and associated working conditions are as follows:

 

Responsibilities:
  • Installations of mounts, cables, and antennas on towers and rooftops.
  • Troubleshoot and fix on connectors and antenna and fixed systems.
  • Maintenance, punch repair and getting cellular sites ready for audit.
  • Correct anything that is wrong with the installation including adding supports, adding cable, grounding and weatherproofing.
  • In some cases we will help with install the antenna, install coax, install surge arrestors, grounding and supporting hardware.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years climbing experience with tower hardware assembly experience.
