Job Description
Responsibilities:
•Reports to Systems and Operations Manager.
•Administer, manage and monitor the operations of the company's Unix servers within the limits of defined IT measures and standards with the objective of ensuring customer satisfaction.
•Establish, recommend and perform policies and procedures; review and validate the server capacity in order to ensure that IT related resources are efficiently utilized.
•Troubleshoot failed backups and implement corrective actions.
•Responsible to write backup scripts and ensuring that backup setups are successfully transferred to tape.
•Perform and test backup restoration regularly to ensure backup quality.
•Monitor, configure, maintain and administer enterprise storage infrastructure.
•Allocate disks capacity to servers(email, SAP, etc.) and users.
•Responsible in storage capacity planning, maintaining knowledge in software/hardware currently deployed & performing future hardware/software upgrades.
•Develop scripts to monitor disk health performance to ensure high availability.
Qualifications:
•Graduate of BS in ECE/COE, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related technical course.
•With solid understanding on UNIX based operations systems; capable to perform systems troubleshooting & basic system administration tools.
•Knowledgeable in hardware RAID, SMP, kernel configuration & tuning.
•With skills in task automation & tools support in 2 administrative languages (Perl/shell/bathscripting).
•Familiar with fundamental networking/distributed computing environments & concepts.
Applicants must be willing to work in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Please note that this is for an initial of 6 months Deployment, and can be converted to regular employment depending on performance.
