We currently have an opening for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst located at our corporate office in Santa Ana, CA.  

DESCRIPTION

Position supports our rapidly growing property services business units, including property management, property evaluation and property preservation with financial analysis and divisional reporting.

• Develop and enhance divisional and office profitability reports that capture the key economic activities of various property services related business entities
• Assemble meaningful profit plans, budgets, and business plans for the Property Services Division
• Develop ad hoc financial analysis in support of key business decisions, including but not limited to cost-benefit analyses
• Reconcile key forecast variances from actual information in the  general ledger and key business systems
• Identify fixed vs. variable costs (monitor marginal profitability / break-even levels)
• Manage functional (cost center) roll ups, related maintenance and organization structures (office, region, division, etc.)
• Maintain accurate Key Operating Metrics and Statistics in support of financial reporting (both historical and prospective periods)
• Assemble and organize relevant performance data from various data sources
• Work cooperatively with existing IT analytics resources, systems and related analysts
• Develop meaningful trends and reports from raw system data with strong data mining skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• B.S. or equivalent degree in Business (CPA and/or MBA preferred)
• Superior MS Excel skills
• MS Access skills or equivalent DB skills are highly recommended
• Experience with business intelligence systems along with organizing and disseminating the underlying record-level data
• Self-disciplined and motivated individual
• Strong business acumen
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Good track record for completed projects
• Real estate or real estate finance experience recommended
• Essbase financial software or equivalent systems knowledge a plus
• Must possess financial modeling experience (Ability to forecast balance sheets and cash flow statements)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
