Senior Services Engineer

Move is currently looking for a creative, quality focused, senior services engineer who can enhance our company with the latest best practices and knowledge of web service technologies. We're a team oriented, passionate, and collaborative group looking for like-minded developers.

In this position, you will be a technical contributor and leader working in the Campbell corporate headquarters. You will collaborate with others in the planning, design, and development of strategic and innovative consumer web and social services. You will help to both design brand new innovative social services and extend existing services. You will coordinate with other service development teams to ensure consistency and synergy in the system architecture. Your position will be working on highly visible and impactful services used by our flagship web and mobile apps.

Requirements:

*6+ years back-end and services development on high traffic consumer sites with demonstrated experience designing, implementing and deploying RESTful APIs, SOA implementations, or similar web services.

*Strong in depth experience in Ruby on Rails, and/or other server side technologies such as Java, Ruby, or PHP.

* Experience in other open source web development technologies a plus. You have a natural drive to leverage open source and third party solutions

* Solid knowledge of OO design

* Experience with agile methodologies a plus

* Enjoy learning new technologies and keeping up to date with industry trends in consumer and social products and services

* Excellent communication skills, high integrity, and have a focus on quality

* You are passionate about creating high performance, elegant services to support innovative applications

* BS CS or equivalent

Responsibilities:

*Collaborate with Product and Development teams regarding product definition, schedule, scope, and project-related decisions

*Define best practices and general services architecture and APIs

*Investigate technologies that can be leveraged in the team’s implementations
