The central objective of the Institutional Sales Associate position is to develop and cultivate new business. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills as well as strong relationships with large corporations, insurance companies and central banks. Successful candidates will have 2-3 years of experience with the ability to develop new business. We offer a dynamic, fast-paced working environment while interacting in real-time with current and prospective clients. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about building relationships, learning the FX market and international finance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential business opportunities and sell the FXCM product line
  • Develop a solid network with new and potential clients
  • Prospect and open new institutional client accounts (hedge funds, CTA’s, banks, and small to medium-sized asset management firms)
  • Create and execute a business plan encompassing target customers and by utilizing the firm’s strategic advantages and platform
  • Educate potential clients on the FX Market and our trading platform
  • Identify potential international/financial market business opportunities within the target client base
  • Achieve agreed upon budget, as set annually by the associate and senior management (barring unforeseen events)
  • Create customized solutions for clients’ needs both internally and externally
  • Conduct ongoing sales checks and maintain client relationships
  • Maintain relevant product and sales knowledge

Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Successful sales track record and book of business with large corporations, insurance companies and central banks
  • Previous experience in business development, sales or financial markets
  • Experience and successful track record in e-sales of FX products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Business savvy, persuasive and ability to problem solve in real time
  • Some college education is desired
  • Follow economics, international finance, foreign exchange and international news events

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must know local market and currently possess strong relationships with customers in the UK and Europe
