Director of EAP Services (closed)
The City of Atlanta administers its Employee Assistance Program in-house, with a dedicated staff of counselors and contracted external resource providing a full range of EAP services to an employee population of over 7,000 including the Atlanta Police and Atlanta Fire & Rescue Departments.
The leader of our EAP will ensure that all clinical, educational, administrative and performance measures meet designated goals. This position will actively participate in the overall management and supervision of the staff while interfacing closely with the Human Resources Commissioner regarding staffing, budget, and other resource utilization. The Head of EAP identifies long and short term goals/needs and ensures these are consistent with City of Atlanta and facility goals for EAP. This role also plans and initiates improvement actions; provides input to budget estimates, justifies quarterly allotment requests as required, and prepares projections and justifications for budgetary, personnel, equipment, and space requirements of the service. This hands-on leader will also be expected to provide direct EAP services, including after-hours crisis intervention, assessment and counseling as needed.
Qualifications include three (3) years experience in the following areas: EAP services, outpatient mental health, alcohol and/or chemical dependency treatment, inpatient psychiatric practice and/or private psychotherapy service. Administration/management experience, including planning and development. Board certification and previous supervisory/managerial experience is preferred. Qualified candidate will hold or be able to attain full, unrestricted Georgia Licensure, Certification, or Registration.
