SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Simply Biotech specializes in recruiting exclusively for San Diego's biotech and device community. We are currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for a growing North San Diego County firm.

The qualified Supply Chain Manager will source, negotiate, increase on-time delivery of materials, and reduce costs with key suppliers.  In addition, this person will establish and support supply chain functions within areas of Production Planning, Inventory Control, Purchasing and Shipping & Receiving and will identify business needs and implement effective solutions with regard to Materials Management. The selected candidate will further:

* Source and work with established OEM Manufacturing Sites

* Negotiate and write supplier agreements

* Implement and reinforce QSR, ISO and GMP guidelines and ensure procedural compliance to internal Quality System

* Supervise staff within Supply Chain

* Act as Materials representative (or administrator as necessary) for Material Review Board (MRB), Sales and Operations planning committee, ERP task force, and other committees and groups affecting product availability and customer service

* Assign projects and tasks as necessary amongst staff and provide necessary guidance and/or tools for accurate and on-time completion

* Provide first-rate customer service to internal and external customers

* Monitor work orders flow to maintain WIP inventory levels

* Establish and maintain key vendor relationships, both internal and external, with emphasis on critical item suppliers

* Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance to negotiate best term contracts with outside suppliers and provide suggestions for continuous improvement of delivery of products and services

* Rate vendor performance based on delivery and service; establish and maintain classifications for vendors in conjunction with Quality Assurance

* Define and implement processes to maintain inventory accuracy and transaction efficiency

* Coordinate consistent supply change procedures

The Supply Chain Manager will possess the following qualifications:

* BA/BS

* 7+ years? progressive experience in production, vendor negotiations, working with OEM Manufacturing or multiple sites, supply agreements, inventory control, and purchasing in an FDA regulated business.

* Professional certifications such as APICS would be an advantage.

* Strong understanding of negotiation and creating supplier agreements

* Experience in buying large volume, revision controlled components

* Familiarity with ISO, GMP and QSR requirements

* Must have an understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles

* Strong understanding of and ability to accurately utilize MRP/ERP systems.

* Understand complex BOM?s and product configurations and diverse units of measure

* Good interpersonal skills with ability/patience to teach/train personnel in material control systems and PC based MRP transactions

* Ability to supervise, improve performance, and motivate personnel

* Ability to provide and interpret critical information, gain approval of suggestions/ideas from functional as well as senior management and implement solutions

* Ability to perform under occasional stress with high accuracy
