The smartphone and other mobile devices are emerging as versatile platforms for a new generation of consumer oriented applications. The ATL Lab is researching core software technologies allowing developers to leverage the capabilities of future mobile devices and enhance end user experiences. The ideal candidate for this position will have a keen interest and proven track record in designing and developing novel middleware technologies and applications for future mobile devices. The candidate will be expected to combine expertise in mobile platforms, and the development of product level prototypes which embody your ideas.



Candidate must possess:

Experience with developing middleware technologies and applications for a mobile device

Experience using API's to retrieve and integrate multi faceted social data from varied sources, such as social networking servces, within websites or applications

Proficient in C/C++, Java, Javascript or other languages for a mobile computing environment

Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with an international team to deliver a rapid prototype

Extensive knowledge of current and emerging social media platforms and its growing influence on mobile devices

PhD in Computer Science or Masters in Computer Science with 3-5 years relevant experience

Track record of delivering tangible results from research projects
