As a Software Engineer your responsibilities will be 

• Strong programming experience in C, C++  
• Experience working with Perl and Shell Scripting 
• Development and/or descent understanding of File systems like Ext2/Ext3/Ext4/UFS/ZFS 
• Ability to create low level design based on requirements 
• Strong  Knowledge of Kernel Block Filter Drivers ( device-mapper, LVM/FUSE), Kernel File system Filter Drivers, Block Derivers for Snapshots, CDP, Replication, de-dup  
• Experience in FreeBSD and/or Solaris is desirable.
• Participate in high level design discussion.
• Exploration and feasibility study based on the requirements gathered from the client.
• Writing design documents.
• Owning development of components/modules.
• Guiding other team members and code review of the code developed by other team member
