Medium/High Voltage Power Electronics Engineer
Develop power electronics for medium to high power solar inverters. Analyze and interpret data, and solve problems in the following areas: efficiency optimization, power conversion, power generation and power system harmonics. Responsible for the development of electronics that drive and control solar inverters.
Product support, customer solutions, product design, and factory product test, and component appraisal in the power electronics. Includes implementation of qualification testing, customer testing, testing of theoretical designs, failure analysis, and support of test center.
Negotiate product requirements with customers, provide technical guidance to colleagues and other teams, and closely cooperate with development team in Germany.
Find creative solutions to the challenges of efficiency optimization, power conversion, power generation and power system harmonics.
BSEE, MS or Power Engineering a plus
2+ years of experience in the design and development of one or more power products: SMPS, UPS, motor drives, inverters, DC/DC converters, gate drive circuits.
Experience with medium/high power applications (> 50 kW)
Excellent knowledge of the use of power semiconductors (MOSFET, IGBT, SCR, etc.)
Simulation tool experience (MATLAB, Simulink), photovoltaic experience, or experience with medium-high voltage contactors and switchgear a plus.
