Innovative and technology-oriented, the biotech R&D department has an extensive network and partner program with word-class academic labs and startups, which work jointly on design and research efforts.
Description:
Company is looking for a senior scientist to work on a strategic partnership with a start-up which includes an equity stake and a broad spectrum research and development, production, and commercialization agreement. Company’s R&D teams will join forces to develop new biosynthetic routes to a variety of renewable fuels.
Company is seeking highly talented, driven, and creative Senior Scientists to join this joint R&D effort. These scientists will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the creation and growth of a unique, CleanTech collaboration while using cutting-edge science and technology in an extremely dynamic environment. The collaboration will include exploratory, proof-of-concept and development projects, the end goal being to develop technologies that are ready-to-use at the production level. Successful candidates will combine outstanding scientific abilities with a strong interest in leveraging technology to build efficient industrial operations.
Experience and Skills:
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and interest in learning new techniques in a fast-evolving environment
- Strong motivation to make an impact on society by helping shape the energy transition of the future
- Ph. D degree with 2-5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Metabolic Engineering, Microbiology, Synthetic Biology, Systems Biology, Computational Biology, Biochemistry, Enzymology/Protein Engineering, Fermentation
- Strong scientific potential and technical expertise in at least one white biotechnology-relevant field, as proven by an excellent publications record or an equivalent set of achievements in industry
- Industry experience preferred.
- Interest and ability to work across different fields of life sciences
