Job Description

You will be responsible for the system design, and architecture of the embedded firmware in our range of energy products. As part of a development team you will have hands-on responsibility products. As part of a development team you will have hands-on responsibility for developing solutions to satisfy a range of standards. We require wide experience of RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems), protocol stacks, wireless and experience of RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems), experience of RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems), protocol stacks, wireless and other network interfaces on 8 to 32 bit embedded platforms and strong skills in other network interfaces on 8 to 32 bit embedded platforms and strong skills in prototyping, implementation, debugging and hardware bring-up. You will be comfortable working with simulation and emulation platforms in advance of hardware availability. 


Minimum Requirements;

  • Experience of full development life cycle of embedded firmware for high volume consumer
    products
  • Experienced in specifying and implementing RTOS and embedded software (C, C++, assembler)
  • Experience/Deep knowledge of networking
  • Experience with embedded 8 to 32bit processors (XAP2B, ARM, 8051 etc.)
  • Has a top degree, or similar qualification
  • Has knowledge of software techniques, languages and technologies
  • Is a practical, hands on engineer and problem solver with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Commercial experience in embedded firmware development
