Unit Director – Med/Surg (General Surgery) (closed)
The Unit Director (CEO of the clinical unit) is responsible and accountable for the unit's overall strategic and operational planning, operations, and the provision and evaluation of patient care by all unit staff members and others, such as providers, ancillary staff, and students who provides care, treatment, and services on the unit. The Unit Director serves as a positive role model and sets the tone for the unit's reputation and performance. The Unit Director provides 24/7 leadership and management in the areas of customer satisfaction, provision of safe & effective care, finance, human resources and leadership & professional development. Will manage a team of 60 FTE’s 41 beds, Up to 2K.
3+ years of clinical nursing leadership experience
Ability to work with a diverse group of employees/patients. Grady is a public health system and service the underinsured and underprivileged. Since we don’t turn any patients away, our staff to patient ratio fluctuates between 1:5 to 1:9. Surgical or Trauma experience. Some leadership experience. Strong interpersonal skills.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing Required, Master's degree preferred.
