Role: Commercial Excellence Manager
Package: Negotiable basic salary between GBP55,000-GBP65,000, pension scheme, private health, bonus and other benefits.
Based: Cambridgeshire Head Office
The client is the leading supplier of Stoma Care, Wound Care and Continence Care products and services within the UK and Ireland.
This is a great opportunity to join a leading medical devices company as Commercial Excellence Manager where you will be responsible for defining and leading sales efficiency indicators (KPIs) through appropriate analysis between sales and marketing and manage projects across functions to integrate global and local projects into their portfolio. You would also be involved in any acquisition process to support the country manager and will have three direct reports.
Duties and responsibilities:
Oversees the implementation and monitoring of a business intelligence model to drive customer segmentation, targeting and CRM programmes. Focus will be on driving the sales force effectiveness initiatives. The Head of Commercial Excellence has ownership for executing the global Commercial Excellence strategy.
Creates the mechanisms and processes to capture, analyse and use market level data to better understand the current competitive environment; identify attractive growth opportunities and new customer targets and create value propositions to support and build competitive advantage in co-operation with marketing and sales team.
Translates strategic objectives into operational plans.
Responsible for local deployment of the commercial excellence strategy.
Contributes to sales and marketing local strategic decisions that positively influence sales growth.
Constantly balances global and local expectations to define appropriate deployment plans.
Provides Business Development support to the Country Manager, including but not limited to, providing insights and competitive intelligence activity and process, dissemination of business intelligence to Senior Management Team, contribute to strategic planning processes by interpreting and communicating key trends and recommendations on business opportunities related to those trends.
Sets stretching KPIs and objectives for the team and evaluate the performance to drive continuous improvement.
Provides direction, manages and develops the team members.
Develops the Commercial Excellence talent to create local initiatives that genuinely support the execution of the global strategy and demonstrates a strong return on investment
Personal Attributes
Candidates will need to show evidence of and be able to demonstrate project management skills, analytical skills, commercial understanding, market awareness and sound business knowledge. You will ideally come from a healthcare environment, preferrably sales and marketing with a good understanding of the NHS.
You will also need to be an experienced line manager with a strong track record of successful team leadership. You must be able to effectively lead multi-functional teams of both commercial and non-commercial functions (operations, finance, HR, IT, R&D).
Qualifications Required
Essential: Degree qualified, Master of Science or MBA preferred.
