Open Systems is looking for a Ruby SW Engineer for a client in Dulles, Virginia.  The position is scheduled to run for at least 12 months. 

Ruby scripting is clearly the most important piece.  The selected candidate has to have demonstrated experience.  Our client is automating their reporting systems & testing in Cucumber, Selenium and Ruby.

Short Description:

• ·         Work on Reporting automation framework - Selenium, Cucumber, Ruby
• ·         Automation capabilities required - absolute must - demonstrated Ruby scripting experience - candidate will be tested
• ·         Strong proficiency in integration testing of subsystems
• ·         Participate in all applicable Scrum activities
• ·         Ability to understand software system architectures
• ·         Experience with Open Source testing tools
• ·         Backend testing proficiency – big plus

Required Skills         

• ·         Knowledge of HTTP protocol/error codes/headers 
• ·         Strong troubleshooting skills 
• ·         Demonstrated Ruby scripting experience 
• ·         Strong Business Analysis skills
• ·         UNIX/Linux experience 

Desired Skills:

• ·         Experience with backend testing, Cucumber  & Vertica database
