In this role, the ORACLE COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERED SYSTEMS PRODUCT MANAGER will be responsible for designing, developing, and ultimately delivering a portfolio of enterprise SERVICES in support of project engagements related to the rollout, implementation, and use of Oracle Communication's Engineered Systems.

  • Specific responsibilities include:

SERVICES PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT and DEFINITION

  • Developing and maintaining ENGINEERED SYSTEMS Best Practices
  • Defining and maintaining ENGINEERED SYSTEMS services engagement model

o  Technical work specification and deliverables

o   Development of Engagement service delivery definition and methodology

TECHNICAL TEAM LEAD

  • Training and evaluation of ENGINEERED SYSTEMS Consulting Staff in the application of ENGINEERED SYSTEMS Best Practices
  •  Act as technical interface between ENGINEERED SYSTEMS Product Engineering and ENGINEERED SYSTEMS Consulting Staff

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

In this role, the ORACLE COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERED SYSTEMS will, over time, transition to Senior Principle Consultant and be responsible for individually engaging customer and/or leading an ORACLE COMMUNICATIONS Systems Consulting engagement emphasizing three aspects of production adoption and implementation:

  • Controlling the activities of client engineering teams in the use and application of ORACLE COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERED SYSTEMS through the application of ENGINEERED SYSTEMS Best Practices
  • Influencing client side telco application/infrastructure development to ensure seamless integration with ORACLE COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERED SYSTEMS
  • Assisting client side telco application engineers in developing the required interfaces to ENGINEERED SYSTEMS to achieve optimal ENGINEERED SYSTEM utilization

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE:

  • General understanding of consulting services business and client engagement
  • Experience designing a service offering(s) and related delivery methodology
  • Client-based program/project management experience

CLIENT ARCHITECTURE EXPERTISE:

  • The successful candidate must have a demonstrated expertise in applied OSS/BSS design and applied Service Layer architecture experience
  • Address trend toward managing customer experience (rather than subscription services) and the impact on OSS/BSS architecture design changes
  • Hands-on experience in designing OSS/BSS architectures (or related telecom application areas) to meet changing industry needs
  • Analyze existing OSS/BSS architecture in the context of ENGINEERED SYSTEMS with goal of minimizing total customer impact (cost, risk, etc)

TELECOM DOMAIN EXPERTISE:

  • The successful candidate must have demonstrated skills/experience architecting and software engineering of telecom infrastructure and applications including:
    • IMS
    • Policy control and charging (PCC)
    • Cloud
    • Subscriber data management (SDM)
    • Real-time charging/online charging systems (RTC/OCS)
    • Mobile core (wireless)
    • Messaging
    • Telecoms applications servers (TAS)
    • IPTV
    • Operational support systems (OSS) – network management system(NMS) and services assurance

SOFTWARE DESIGNAND DEVELOPMENT EXPERTISE:

  • The successful candidate must have applied JAVA software analysis, design and coding experience
  •  Demonstrated skills must include analyzing existing C++/Java code, recommending changes to extend code capability and functionality

HW and SW DESIGN/SELECTION
The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in hardware engineering evaluation techniques (general evaluation methods, defining evaluation criteria,functional evaluation testing methods, performance evaluation methods, management software evaluation methods, knowledge of and experience applying telecom industry standards)

Working knowledge of Oracle middleware technologies a plus
