Mobile Web Developer

Location: Newcastle, UK

Job Description:

Essential:

1)     Proactive with natural problem solving abilities

2)     Proficient in English language – written and spoken

3)     Ability to work as part of a team

4)     Experience of standard web application design and structure

a) Good knowledge of HTML4/XHTML (and knowledge about any new HTML5 elements being used)

b) Solid understanding of CSS for styling and layout (and knowledge of any new CSS3 being used)

c)  Solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals

d) Good knowledge of standard web app testing and debugging

5)     Knowledge of data storage options for HTML5 apps

a)     Offline storage/caching for offline use

6)     JQuery Mobile – for mobile apps

a) Knowledge of page structure, toolbars, navigation and transitions between pages

b)Knowledge of available components – list views, buttons, form controls, dialogs etc.

c) Responding to events – taps, swipes, scrolls, orientation changes.

Preferred:

Knowledge of any new HTML5 elements/concepts

a)     Video/Audio

b)    Drawing

c)     Drag and drop
