My client is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of key aerospace/aviation equipment. They pride themselves on providing innovative systems which are reliable, robust and cost effective for their clients.
Reporting to the Program Buyer Team Lead, you will be a member of the global commodity team.
The Program Buyer contributes to a high profile global purchasing strategy for a renowned and established program, in conjunction with the Program Buyer Manager and Purchasing Commodity teams.
*Acts as an interface between Program, Development teams, Production, Quality, Finance and Purchasing in order to deliver work packages on time, on cost on quality.
*Leads and coordinates all actions to reduce cost for his/her related packages.
*Manages concurrent engineering with suppliers, partners and MD internal functions.
*Ensures that parts are purchased consistently within the defined industrial scheme
*Ensures that Purchasing commodity teams take into account Program objectives, constraints and strategy.
*Ensures compliance with the Purchasing processes.
*Assess and reports the program contractual coverage by all commodities
*Manages, tracks and reports program change and cost of change for purchased parts
*Support Program / Customer meeting, audits and interfaces as required.
*Coordination of the cross-functional team
*Tracks and reports on Roadmap progress
*Tracks and reports on cost evolution & cost reduction activities
*Represents Purchasing during MCB (Modification Control Board) and key program reviews
*Program Supply Chain Risks Register maintenance
*Builds budget for new developments
*Ensures Contract coverage
*Ensures that Concurrent Engineering is done with key suppliers
*Provide data to commodity buyers
