About the Job

 

Our client has a requirement for a Project Control for a six month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

Role

 

We are seeking a Project Control Officer to provide project support and analysis to the Program and Project Managers. The successful candidate must be a strong team player, self-motivated, highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a solid background / experience with financials; Project planning, budget preparation, forecasting/analysis, as well as monitoring and tracking the budgets.

 

 

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities include:

  • Report creation
  • Roll up Reporting
  • Project Plan creation and ongoing maintenance
  • PowerPoint presentation creation
  • Management of logs and documenting the outcomes of meetings
  • Ensuring SharePoint site repositories are up to date
  • Additional support as required by the program
  • Provide support for invoice processing.
  • Manage the process for all required updates to internal financial management tracking tools (Primavera, Carpe Diem, Resource Tracking)

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • Strong financial background
  • Demonstrated experience with Project Costing, Month-end, and Variance
  • Project support work experience
  • Exceptional Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and Visio skills are required
  • Highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • A strong focus on attention to detail to produce high quality, accurate and timely deliverables to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
  • Exposure to PMLC would be considered an asset
  • Previous Project Financial reporting
