"Startup Software Engineer"

Qualifications:

 - You're a Full stack Engineer or want to be! You don't need experience with our entire tech stack- but you have to want to.

 Our tech stack: Ruby on Rails, MySQL, MongoDB, MVC, Agile, iOS/Objective C, Android/Java, REST, HTTP/SSL, Agile (XP/Scrum/Lean) Javascript, HTML5/CSS3.

 -  Passionate about creating quality Mobile software for consumers and everything that goes into it.

 -  Solid design and coding skills in a Ruby on Rails | Java | | Python …

 - Solid Database knowledge and can do queries and optimization

 -  Love Agile!  Short, rapid and continuous iterations, comprehensive testing, emergent design - it's XP.

 - “Can do" attitude and  a fast learner. You can prove it on a whiteboard or on your Laptop.

 -  Excellent analytical skills and an appreciation for elegant design and code. You don’t hack software, you craft it.

 -  You've built complex scalable web based systems and apps for consumers.

 -  Self-directed and work well in small but collaborative teams.

 -  Startup experience. You want to work in a startup and know what that takes! It's not all glory and cool stuff but sometimes it needs to be done anyway. Your cool with that and will do what makes the company successful.

 -  Work on all of MVC - but you will spend most your time on Model and Controller and work on View occasionally.

  Duties:

 - Your tasks will be many and varied; from the setup of EC2 for storage to working with Solr or search engines. Doing integration with 3rd party API's (e.g. Facebook and Twitter) Optimization and profiling. Coding JavaScript libraries but most of your time will be writing code in Ruby on Rails.

 -You will report directly to and work "shoulder to shoulder" with the VP of Engineering on everything related to Technology i.e. Infrastructure, Backend services, Frontend, Mobile apps...

 -You will help shape the future of our product and company everything you do has MAJOR impact on the success of the company and is visible all the way to the CEO.
