HSE Risk Specialist

To help drive this commitment to safety and their vision of change they are looking for a technically strong Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Risk Specialist to join their team in British Columbia.
Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, the HSE Risk Specialist will be responsible for the development, implementation and integration of risk management practices to reduce loss and realize continual improvement. The incumbent will integrate corporate HSE policies and procedures into a site specific HSE Management System. Furthermore, by participating in scheduled internal and external audits, providing feedback and conducting formal Risk Assessments this position will assist in the continued management efforts to achieve zero incidents
Having risk management experience within a mining setting or related industrial environment you have experience promoting an incident free workplace; whereby, you have collaborated with management, scheduled and participated in internal and external audits, prepared incident reports and managed data associated with incident reports. To be successful you will have to utilize your superior written and verbal communication skills to promote HSE management objectives. In order to be considered for this role you must have a Bachelor of Science degree.
