Description

3 - 5 years of professional experience in SQL Server administration in a complex enterprise environment. Work experience in both system and application DBA. Provide technical expertise in database area throughout the life cycle of the projects such as preparing database objects, refreshing databases from production to lower environment, migrating database objects from one environment to the other in accordance to SDLC. Maintain database operation environment with SOX compliance and adhere to corporate policy. Requires occasional off hour and weekend work.


Perform ongoing assessment of database performance and identification of problem areas.
Perform database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database
resource requirements.
Perform and execute database backup and recovery procedures.
Perform install, upgrades, and other administrative core DBA functions.
- Must have skills: SQL Server, strong communication skills, multi-tasking, Experiences in Autosys jobs creation.
- Preferred skills, but not required: Working knowledge of SQL Clustering and work experiences in Sybase to SQL Server conversion is a big plus. Oracle, SDLC/IDLC, Sybase, Netezza, and datawarehouse experience.
