Software Analyst- IPTV Development

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the gathering and analyzing of user requirements for the IPTV application to be developed
• To develop application with Microsoft Presentation Framework
• To understand Microsoft Window Server 2003/2008 and other third party components and services required for application deployment
• To deploy web products built on the Microsoft stack, including Windows 2003, Window 2008, IIS 6.0 or and above, MSMQ, SQL etc
• To deploy scripts for the orchestration, integration and automation of software releases
• To author internal documentation, such as functional/design/installation/configuration documents and release notes
• To troubleshoot and debug application problems found in the production and non-production environments
• To automate systems monitoring tasks using standard monitoring tools
• To manage and control the continuous release including the following environments: staging and production
• To work with other team members in Operations, Planning and Product Management to plan the deployment of software releases
• To integrate to SingTel in-house systems for the orchestration of charging & rating services etc

Requirements :

• Computer Science or equivalent degree from a recognized University. More than 3 years of relevant experience in the software/application development is preferred
• Experience in at least 1 full SDLC is preferred
• Proven record of working with Microsoft Window Foundation and ASP.NET on Microsoft .NET platform, XML documents parsing using Microsoft, RDBMS product such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or equivalent, Application Server deployment on Tomcat, IIS or equivalent is advantageous
• Knowledge of object oriented software engineering methodology such UML would be advantageous
• Strong interest and experience in IPTV, wireless, internet applications and development is preferred
• Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build good rapport and collaborative working relationships with team members is required
