Senior Linux Systems Administrator Team Leader to work with a dynamic SME company that delivers innovative bespoke multimedia solutions, internet broadcasting to top FTSE100 clients, being at the forefront of IPTV, Television and Web Digital convergence. You will be working with a talented bunch of Linux system administrators, developers, technicians, production and business executives as well as close support via the CTO based from the London office. This is really great opportunity for an experienced Linux Systems administrator with extensive Linux skills possibly with some managerial or team leader skills from a web services environment to take on this challenge. As the company continues to grow and develop and based on your success there is real potential to develop your career to a board level position influencing commercial decisions and introducing new technology.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Hands on management 85% technical / 15% managerial of a 24/7 team, 4 reports, proactive monitoring and resolution, SLA’s, contracts and procedures, development and implementation of process automation and monitoring tools, measuring and reporting on the NOC team, hands on team leadership, systems maintenance, software changes, development of internal and external infrastructure, systems admin duties etc

Key Skills:

• A minimum 5 +years’ experience in a Linux Systems Administration role

• Senior position, Mentor, Team Leader or management experience
• Computer related degree
• Extensive IT experience with proven experience of managing growth in a web services environment
• Strong technical understanding of high availability web hosting
• Experience working in a high traffic multi-data centre web environment and with content delivery network partners
• Experience with network and server diagnostic tools
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Ability to install, configure and support a variety of networking and server hardware from a variety of vendors
