Storage Staffing ( www.storagestaffing.com ) is looking for a Pre-Sales Storage Engineer (focusing on EMC) to be a Hero for a small private Storage firm providing a unique value
prop for customers small and large. This company is growing at a time when other companies are cutting back and is stable and successful. This position is open because their company is growing.
The re-Sales Storage Engineer works as a technical liaison between the customer and the sales team as a Storage Solutions Architect in the sales process once a viable customer has been identified.
The successful candidate will have shown a history of ongoing professional development in EMC storage and a strong desire to interact face to face with customers. Some understanding and
competency in other platforms (NetApp) is a plus.
Since this is a small firm you will also get to participate in marketing efforts like blogging, creating Storage related education videos and helping set some strategic technical direction in the
organization.
Requirements
*Facilitate long-term customer relationships through the delivery of Storage technical solutions to customer business problems
*Enable the success of sales teams through your support
*Maintain technology expertise through ongoing professional development in EMC Storage Solutions (some NetApp)
*Create detailed Statements of Work for proposed Storage solutions
*Performance tuning - Must be able to recommend changes that will positively impact Storage performance
*Evaluates plans and implements necessary enterprise Storage allocations to meet system requirements and helps develop long term plans based on business requirements
*DR Planning & Design experience a plus
*VMware experience a plus
*Familiarity with storage technologies other than EMC (NetApp, IBM, Hitachi) a plus ability to learn and adopt to new environment quickly
*Client focused, able to work independently while interacting across different teams to accomplish projects
*Must be detail and goal oriented dedicated to accomplish the tasks
*Ability and desire to interact with business managers, technical staff, and senior managers
