Operations Manager - Food Services (Offshore Oil & Gas) (closed)

Our client, a multinational company based in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Operations Managers for their offshore oil and gas food services business.
Reporting to the Sector General Manager and Operations Executive you will be expected to oversee the successful delivery of existing services and meeting potential new clients. A balance of focus towards retention (of existing accounts) and acquisition of new accounts / services will be essential. Your principal tasks will include; setting and agreeing budgets; monitoring quality standards; overseeing the management of facilities, e.g. allocation of resources/staff; planning new promotions and initiatives, and contributing to business development; dealing with staffing and client issues; ensuring health, safety and hygiene regulations are strictly observed; budgeting and establishing financial targets and forecasts; monitoring the quality of the services provided; keeping financial and administrative records; managing the payroll and monitoring spending levels; commercial and Relationship Management of sub contractors, supporting the negotiating process for new contracts with customers; monitor departmental expenditure against budgetary targets and negotiate realistic amendments to future budgets and advise on staffing in the catering departments.
The successful candidate will ideally have 7 - 12 years of relevant experience and a good understanding of catering services within the offshore oil and gas industry. You will have the ability to multi-task and establish priorities, maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment and exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership.
