Job Description

Our client is the leader in SEO measurement and optimization technology solutions, enabling high-end companies to gain a competitive advantage through natural search

We are a technology-driven startup attempting to understand the most fundamental question of the wired world ? how does the internet work? Beyond HTTP and DNS, we?re trying to understand how people find and utilize information.

As search engines have evolved, we constantly need to innovate to ensure our clients stay one step ahead.  A Crain?s Best Places to Work in NYC, we are seeking dynamic individuals who can articulate their technical vision.

About the role

We live in a world that is messy and chaotic ? why would the data we deal with be any different?  You will attempt to make sense of massive amounts of data, much of it unstructured.  You will design software with the highest degree of reliability that will scale in a cloud computing environment.

Here are some things we hope you bring to the table:

  • Experience working with massive datasets, greater than 1 TB in size
  • Strong coding fundamentals, deep knowledge of algorithms, and  fully versed in concurrent programming, preferably using Java based tools
  • Hands on experience with NoSQL data stores and appreciation for the judicious use of relational databases.
  • The desire to work on big data problems from a software development perspective.

Our engineers are empowered to make design and development decisions on a daily basis.  You must crave the responsibility of owning your codebase and the desire to push yourself to learn on a regular basis.  We don?t care how much formal experience you have, it is more important that you can express how you have pushed yourself on a regular basis.

We are cutting edge engineers, so we use agile, TDD, and continuous build processes where appropriate.
