Job Description

Tampa based healthcare company is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to guide their .NET development team in the design and development of several new healthcare products. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical and inspirational leadership of their entire development team across all development platforms.  As the manager of the software engineering team the candidate will be responsible for recruiting talented engineers, improving our development methodologies and selecting tools to accelerate our pace.  On top of that, they will be the leader that empowers developers to learn, grow and have fun building software as a team. 

Minimum Qualifications:   

Education/License/Certification:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with at least 10 years software development experience, with 3 years' experience in an engineering management position.  High School Diploma or GED required.

              Experience:  ·        

Must be solid in Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET and related technologies with the ability to go all the way down to the data model if needed.

Extensive design and development of web-based applications and complex business logic following published patterns & practices in building N-tier web applications

Must have solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including SSIS, Transact-SQL and authoring stored procedures enabling efficient data access

Proven experience delivering commercial software to market in reasonable timeframes with strong development discipline and knowledge of various SDLC's (Agile, Scrum, waterfall) that help create great software releases

Demonstrated understanding of the importance of good design and architecture in the maintainability of enterprise solutions

Desire to participate in a quality-driven, team development culture with code reviews, team-oriented learning, test harnesses and automated build management

Strong belief in the value of using source code management systems and build management systems

Excellent knowledge of HTML, XML, AJAX, Web Services and other common web technologies

Must have a good sense of humor and have FUN building applications and working with a talented team

In this critical role, you must be an individual with a high degree of personal integrity, able to maintain the personal discipline to create a results-oriented team environment

Must have a customer-focused, energetic attitude and constantly be willing to take initiative to solve problems and discover solutions without prompting from management staff
