Job Description

Candidate should have more than 3 years of professional and software design and development experience. The candidate should also have extensive experience in designing the architecture and managing future enhancements for an enterprise wide web based solutions. Further, the candidate should have proven track record of proposing system innovations and advancement in order to keep up with the new technology.
 
Functional Responsibility:
• Participates in analysis, design, and new development of next generation IT applications
• Designs, develops, and tests small, medium, and large-scale software enhancements with other project members
• Tests changes to user interface, application functionality and database access as required by the client organizations
• Coordinates closely with QA to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications
• Develops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions
• Prepares required documentation both at the program level and user level and also maintain records to document revisions
• Provide oversight on the development and maintenance activities across the complete Software Development Life Cycle.
• Assists in the review and analysis of requirements and in program design
• Analyzes program processes to suggest improvements and innovations

Work Experience

Minimum/General Experience:
• 2-4 years of web development in LAMP architecture
• Good knowledge of PHP including 5.3.x
• Experience with MySQL 5.5
• Experience with JQuery
• Experience in database design and SQL queries
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated success working in a team-based environment
• Excellent speaking and communication skills
 
Desired Experience:
• Experience in cloud solutions
• Experience with web 2.0 technologies
• Experience with Drupal
• Experience developing high volume or high availability web applications
• Experience with website tuning and caching solutions

Education and Training

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, physics or related discipline and an advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for three years of experience.
