C# Hedge Fund Developer

Our New York based hedge fund client specializes in the securitized products sectors of the fixed income markets, mostly mortgage and asset backed products.
Participate in architecting and developing the in-house Trading and Risk management system.  Help maintain an IT software strategy that supports both current and future needs of the company's business and investment initiatives. Must be a team player and adept in agile development.
Our client's assets are increasing steadily every month, which creates a demand on requirements, specifically accounting, P&L, and risk reporting.  The technology team needs to keep pace with the increasing demands of a rapidly growing business.  The senior developer will focus on industrializing the system by improving stability, scalability and flexibility.
Build effective, long-term relationships with the other members of the firm. Use thoughtful analysis to justify architectural decision making and maintaining tight deliverable schedules while not compromising quality or stability.
·Work together with the CIO and other developers to plan and execute projects and remain on Client to meet deadlines.
·Work with Middle Office and Operations in correcting data errors and ensuring that downstream data presented in the system is of the highest quality.
·Work on all aspects and components of the system from front end to back end, front office to back office.
·Conform to the internally defined development process guidelines of agile development.
·5 – 10+ years of C#/.Net development experience supporting hedge fund, asset management, or a similar financial industry business.
·Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
·Familiarity with hedge fund trade capture and risk management systems, such as Trade Management, Security Master Management, Market Data, Reconciliation, Master Position, Risk and P&L Reporting, and  Batch Processing /Workflow
·LINQ and LINQ-To-Sql, Client API, QuickFix engine, FIX and Mark-IT Wire protocols, and Intex or Loan Performance.
