Position Summary: 

Our client located on the South Shore is looking for an Interactive Developer to join their Web Marketing Team. As the Interactive Developer you will be responsible for usability and front-end development for the companies’ family of sites.  You will strive to continuously improve the overall site usability and process flow and be the resident usability expert for all user-facing design and development initiatives.  As a key member of the team, you will learn the behaviors of our prospect and customer audiences through A/B testing, multivariate testing, site analytics analysis, user surveys and focus groups. You must be the usability advocate during software ideation and design and provide constructive feedback on other designs from a usability perspective.  You are an expert in front-end development best practices, CSS, W3C XHTML, Javascript/JQuery, and have a working knowledge of ASPX C#.

 Essential Job Functions:

• Own the front-end design, development, Q/A and deployment for assigned projects
• Adhere to the brand, but simultaneously help to further where appropriate
• Assist and educate other team members where appropriate to accelerate their technical and design development
• Be an integral member of the conceptualization team, helping to wireframe and comp flows for project specifications for both internal and external departments
• Serve as a proactive agent in identifying design/process/technical flaws with any of the companies’ sites and helping to postulate solutions
• Ensure every page posted meets W3C’s XHTML guidelines and is completely optimized for Search Engine Optimization
• Receive work assignments from Marketing based on current business needs, experience and particular strengths in marketing
• Ability to manage web marketing projects as needed

• Experience with Flash animation and ActionScript 2.0

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of professional interactive Developer experience
• 2+ Relevant Web Marketing and/or E-commerce experience
• Proven track record performing usability analysis and incorporating the results of those efforts into fixed website enhancements
• Equine/Canine industry experience a plus
