Minimum Requirements

Associate’s degree specializing in information systems, technology, or equivalent work experience and appropriate OS certifications. Bachelor’s degree preferred. MCSE/MCSA certification required or equivalent experience. At least two years of experience working with Windows 2003 Server. At least five years preferred. Proficient in providing advanced second level support of the Windows 2003 Server operating system. Knowledge of operating system security and network technologies. Must be able to act independently and implement project related assignments of medium duration and complexity. Able to follow detailed instructions step-by-step for successful change implementation. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Should possess knowledge of Microsoft administration tools, Windows file structures, and NTFS directory and file security.

 

Job Duties

Installs, configures, and maintains Windows 2003 servers and applicable management tools such as HP SIM , IBM Director and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager. Independently performs intermediate second level server troubleshooting. Independently performs intermediate second level operating system troubleshooting, including the resolution of over utilization, LAN connectivity, memory resource allocation, and hard drive access issues. Provides regular status reports of team projects to members of management. Develops and tracks own performance with respect to key objectives, behaviors, and leadership competencies for the job.
