A global powerhouse in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced Performance Engineer join a growing team.

This is a Full-Time (not Contract or Contract-to-Hire) position based in Irving, TX, where the Performance Engineer will be part of a team dedicated to the monitoring and performance optimization of an environment boasting 10,000+ physical and virtual servers.  This team's sole focus is continual performance optimization, proactive identification of performance issues and supporting the needs of business users seeking performance analyses.  The Performance Engineer will be a key member of this team but please note that is NOT an Administrator or Architect role - the primary focus is performance engineering.

The base salary for this position is up to $100,000 (based on experience).  Add to this a 25% annual bonus and a profit sharing plan that is up to 10% of compensation.  My client also offers a complete benefits package which is widely considered to be one of the best in the country.

To be considered for this position, qualified candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

*  BS in Computer Science or experience equivalent to requirements

*  5-7 years of Performance Analysis experience in highly virtualized, high volume, large-scale, distributed environments

*  Multi-OS experience - Solaris, AIX, Linux, and Windows

*  Experience with performance monitoring and capacity management tools such as TeamQuest, SiteScope, IntroScope, Gomez, etc.

*  Experience dealing with a complex and demanding customer base

*  Must have crisp, clear communications skills and an ability to thrive in a demanding, high-pressure environment

*  Candidates with software development expertise in the J2EE stack and/or knowledge of Open Source frameworks and technologies will have a significant advantage
