Job Description

Our Client is a global leading provider of specialty chemicals for the transportation, industrial, and consumer markets. They have revenues of over USD 6 billion annually and currently operating manufacturing facilities, sales and technical offices in over 15 countries, supported by over 7000 employees worldwide. Our Client’s products include additives for engine oils, transportation related fluids, additives for industrial lubricants and additives for gasoline and diesel fuel. In addition, they manufacture ingredients and additives for home care personal care products, pharmaceuticals and specialty materials including plastics technology and performance coatings in the form of specialty resins and additives. Due to their expansion, they are seeking an experienced professional to join them as a Sales Manager in their Singapore office. 

Role:  

SALES MANAGER – INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS 

Purpose:  

The Sales Manager – Industrial reports to the General Manager – Sales and is accountable for growing and managing the lubricant additives sales with focus on Industrial for South East Asia and Australia. 

Core Accountabilities: 

  • Lead, develop and execute Southeast Asia account plans for key global and regional customers with primary focus, but not limiting, to Industrial segment
  • Partner with segment and marketing, identify, scope and develop sales and marketing programs and strategies so as to achieve Industrial sales plan
  • Provide timely and accurately the call reports, sales forecast, customer plans
  • Prepare and present reports on the assigned accounts to the senior business leaders periodically
  • Frequent travelling within the region is expected
  • Grow and manage existing accounts and prospects new growth initiatives for the business
  • Establish in-depth relationships with customer organizations to keep abreast of the latest competitor activity and share market information 

Qualification: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering and/or other relevant disciplines 

Experience & Technical Competencies: 

  • Significant commercial experience in lubricants, additives or related oil/chemical/OEM industry with focus on Industrial applications
  • Experience with metal working industry segment is an advantage
