Electrical Firmware Engineer - Defence

An experience Electrical Firmware Engineer is required to develop FPGAs in support of avionic products and development programmes, for a large defence contractor. The Electrical Firmware Engineer is responsible for all engineering aspects in the design life cycle of FPGAs from requirements specification, and design, development, to verification testing, integration and validation.

Essential Skills:

- Experience of FPGA design/testbenching.
- Experience of Xilinx toolset and design with Virtex FPGA family.
- Hands on experience of firmware design processes.
- Hands on experience of debugging FPGA designs on hardware platforms.
- Knowledge of NI TestStand, LabWindows CVI desirable.

Qualifications:
First or second degree (BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc, PhD) in Electronic Engineering (preferable) or related science (or equivilent experience) with specialisation in digital design and techniques.
