VP and State Executive Director
The Executive Director holds the title of Vice President within the national organization, and functions as the chief executive officer for Audubon in Louisiana, exercising fund-raising, management and leadership responsibility in overseeing programs and initiatives related to the state. This individual must be a visionary leader, an accomplished fundraiser, an experienced manager, and have the proven ability to implement successful conservation projects “on-the-ground.” He or she will build on Audubon’s rich history and enhance its contributions to conservation in Louisiana. The Executive Director works in collaboration with the larger Audubon organization at all levels and with external policy makers, agency leaders, and funders at the local, state and national level. The Executive Director reports to the national organization’s Vice President of the Lower Mississippi Flyway, and will be jointly supervised in the future by a Louisiana state board s/he will help to create. The Executive Director and all employees of Audubon Louisiana are employees of National Audubon Society.
